Lightbody Transport is proud to be a Queensland owned and operated company and has been successfully operating in the transport industry for almost 50 years.
Started in 1968 by Ed and Heather Lightbody the company now employees over 20 staff including sons Darren and Tony who now have taken the reins to guide the company into the future. They now have over 20 years of experience themselves after working their way up from delivery drivers at the beginning.
With rapid growth in 2000, the company went from 5 vehicles, to now having 19 vehicles out on the road. Over the years we have expanded our services into warehousing and distribution on several occasions.

Expansion
Further expansion and need for our logistics expertise has led us into transporting a wide range of freight from plastic and foam products to now a wide range of building and construction materials.
Our most recent expansion was purchasing 4 crane trucks between 2016 and 2020 in which we have secured work to deliver building materials with Queensland and Northern NSW. We now work with some of the major building material suppliers in Australia.
